This is a strong beer (6.5%) in the Maibock (May, or springtime) style. It has a fullness of taste which comes from the mixture of malts, backed up by a combination of both bittering and aromatic hops.

Bock beer is reputed to have originated in the central German city of Einbeck, the name “Bock” being a derivation of “Beck”.

In keeping with the seasonality of the style, this beer is brewed only during the winter. Once the beer is gone, it won't be brewed again until the next year.
